3.2/5 rated down, i guess? the last chapter was kind of epic actually, i didn't expect the show to go down like that. applause. 

now, things that i don't particularly like, young heroine (18 yo) who are very trained? (view spoiler)[like okay she did have fight night (it's some training made by her uncle) but it's still kind of unbelievable to me for a late teen to be that powerful (smacked down a man or two), and very stealthy (infiltrated every families to snatch the informations regarding her family), she's also could operate a parachute despite never been mentioned to train for so? (hide spoiler)] i might be thinking to much but... yeah these bothers me. authors don't be afraid to upper the heroine to early twenties! she's in a college anyway. 
next, unnecessary things, (view spoiler)[some weird stereotype? like please why did you make the only canon pan character, max, saying such a weird thing to the only canon lesbian character, mari, that if she wanted to not be one again and went to opposite sex, she could find him. it's just left bitter taste in my mouth. very, very unnecessary. also, one character said an offensive degrading word of lesbian (d word) as an insult to mari. please this book was published in 2022. (hide spoiler)] author stop using that word as an insult, especially if you aren't one yourself. 

okay, i think that's all. considering my last attempt and experience to read rh yesterday (the bonds that tie) yesterday was bleh, this is... okay i guess. an improvement for me for sure. but again, trivials things (that i could overlook if it's not being mentioned so much) like how she's only 18 and lived humbly with her non rich uncle and aunt slash adopted parents, was able to achieve so much agility and prowess, and—i haven't mentioned this but—too many pop culture references, and the flashback date pretty shocked me because it's back in (view spoiler)[2015 (hide spoiler)] so basically the only young character nearest in age with me is frankie (intrigued by him btw) which is like a year older than me. anyway yeah. too many little things annoyed me. but also this was fun. so. i might be continuing this series, but as for now i'd look for other rh (with 20s yos characters preferably).

First and foremost, I want to thank the author and Peachy Keenas for the ARC of this book! 

okay... I usually HATE cliffhangers but... WOW this one has had me thinking for days now. the pure tension had me soooo hooked. I also am a huge sucker for anything that's Why Choose so... it just makes sense!! with each and every twist and turn i was hooked even further into it and could not put it down until it was explained! 

This was my first book by Elizabeth Dear and definitely won't be my last!!! 

Now I think I speak for soooo many... Can we get book 2 now?!?!?!?
