I really enjoyed this story. I loved the characters and how they relate to each other. I would suggest Ms. Hunter find a better proof-reader though because there were errors on almost every single page of the long book. That was a huge distraction for me.

I should have DNFed this one preemptively the minute I saw that some people of despicable book taste of my friends had shelved it as "cute" and "mushy."

✘ As juvenile as can be.
✘ Flatter than my favorite herd of ironing boards.
✘ Packed with dull, uninteresting characters who act like a bunch of 16-year-olds.
✘ Graced with a supposedly strong, clever female MC who is naught but a silly wimp.
✘ So repetitive and badly written it made my lovely little head hurt.
✘ Crammed with ridiculously cliched, high-school level lovey dovey crap.
✘ Stuffed with an inordinate amount of eye rolling, winking, smirking, eyebrow wiggling/cocking/whatever.
✘ Filled with fascinating descriptions about the male MC's wondrously amazing body and hypnotizing blue-green eyes (or where they green-blue? I forget).
✘ A little allergy-inducing.

I HATED being so iffy with this book, but I just didn't know how else to rate it! The first 40 percent of the book I was honestly just extremely bored with! I kept waiting for something to grab my attention, or a sizzling romance, but none of that happened right away. It was all very slow to start. In fact, one of my least favorite things about this book is how the book skips time almost every single chapter, which drove me crazy to no ends! You would find something fascinating out, and then you'd have to wait 10 pages to find out what the author was talking about. 

As for the characters, I never really felt a connection to them. You know how in some books you feel like you're attached to the characters? You feel their pain? Happiness? Love? I wish I could say I felt it in this one, but I just didn't. Most of time both of the characters are so undecided with what they want from each-other that I didn't have time to feel their love until the very end of the novel. Towards the VERY end of the book, I started to feel their connection, that's why I didn't give this book 4 stars, cause I just didn't have time to get into them yet, but I have a feeling that will change with the next one! 

Enough bashing though! I don't want to make the book seem bad, because it by  NO means was. Lets talk about some good things. I loved the whole idea of this story. It totally kept me reading and wondering what would happen next. I love the side characters, and can't wait to read their spin-offs. *cough Carwyn cough* OH how I loved Carwyn! He's my favorite♥!!! Giovanni and Beatrice truly did have some sweet scenes together, that made me have hope that the next one could very easily be a 5 star book!

The ending was sad..I don't know how the second one is going to pick up, but so many questions weren't answered in this one that I had a hard time loving it, but I DID like it! Maybe my opinion of it will change, after some answers are uncovered, but for now, I'm kinda on-hold with it. Definitely give it a shot, cause I did enjoy it quite a bit!
