This review will contains spoilers for the first book in the series, Give Me Something. Of course, if you read the synopsis, you already know what happens and won't be spoiled... much. Just thought it best to give a warning. :)

I went back and forth with my feelings about Nick in Give Me Something. By the end, I liked him. He underwent a great transformation in that book and part of me was rooting for him and Lila to end up together. Of course, that didn't happen, but after reading Taking Something, I'm thrilled things played out the way they did in his relationship with Lila. If they had ended up together, I wouldn't have had the joy of experiencing Nick's full redemption and his incredible new relationship. 

Now, Nick is far from perfect. He wants to stop living his life as a con artist, but at the same time, he manipulates himself into a job and a relationship with a pop star. And boy, is she a piece of work. There's no denying their chemistry, but that's about all they had going for them. The longer Nick spends with Sadie and the more he's around her fiery assistant, Gia, the more he realizes he wants more of his life. He wants the real thing and he thinks he can find it with Gia. That is, assuming Sadie doesn't ruin his career and his potential relationship with Gia. 

This book left me with all the warm fuzzies. It was realistic. It had sexy, sweet and heart-wrenching moments. While I didn't bawl my eyes out, I did shed a few tears. Fans of the first book will appreciate catching up with Lila and Tucker. I think most will also like to see how much Nick changed. I know I did. He hit the swoony book boyfriend list during this book, a feat I thought nearly impossible after some of his asshole behavior in Give Me Something.
