The worst book from the series.

I started my journey with Elizabeth O’Roark with The Devils series and I really enjoyed reading first three books, especially book about Ban Tate aka the love of my lif, but this book? What happened here?

The writing was the same as in the previous books, which is why I finished the book. But the story and main characters? Hell nah. I usually avoid books with accidental pregnancy and marriage, but decided to give it a try because Elizabeth wrote it. It was pretty funny in some moments, but usually I was like "What am I even reading?". 

That’s not even the worst, the main characters stole the show here. It was as if the author decided to create two completely different characters and see if she could somehow make an amazing couple out of them. Guess what? She failed. Because how can you pair a guy who has his whole life together and a woman who is twenty nine but acts like fifteen year old. Kelley I- I have no words how she could survive to this age honestly. 

one She ran off without a word, and then found out she is pregnant with no intention of telling Graham.

two She was a doctor. I still don't know how. I guess it will remain a mystery to me until I die. Because yeah, she was pretty stupid. I wouldn't even trust her to put a band-aid on me if I cut myself


  
    “You’re sure you’re actually a doctor?” he asks, looking around. “Because you live like a teenage girl who just profited from a sex tape with Kanye.”

    “What do we say to explain when we’re not together anymore?” 
“Oh, you’ll have to dump me. I need to remain blameless. But don’t worry, they’ll all still secretly blame me.” She tilts her head"
“Unless I tell them you hit me.”
I stare at her in shock. “Keeley, no. You’re not telling them I hit you.” 
She sighs. “Then you come up with a plan.”

    “No one really likes museums or art galleries or churches, Graham. It’s just an excuse to get dinner and drinks. You know, ‘hey, let’s meet at the Getty, and grab a drink afterward.’” 
“I’m pretty sure there are people who actually enjoy museums and galleries.”

four She couldn't even take care of a dog, so I don't even want to think about her having a child.


  
    "I then buy her more dog treats than she should eat in a year and feed her half of them on the way home, but again, she’s very little and probably needs food. Just as we reach the house, though, she vomits. Because of me."

Moving to Graham. I still don’t understand why he wanted to be with her. They texted once before (arguing), then they met at the wedding, bang twice there even though she didn’t wanted to do that with him from the beginning (but she was drunk so she did that) and then suddenly he wants to marry her? Bro was thinking with his dick you can’t convince me otherwise. 


I hope the next book will heal the pain after this one. I guess we'll see on May fourth.

I’m giving this three stars cause it’s not bad but it’s not good enough for 3.5 stars. 

First this is the only pregnancy trope book i’ve read where their relationship developed as the unborn baby grew so a star for that

There’s something about FMCs with impressive careers that gets me going but if a FMC doesn’t have one it’s still ok but another star for a female doctor.

This is not a spoiler but keely and graham were both losers and I was not swooning during the romantic scenes as I usually do.

I loved the pacing of this book but the main characters were not that good
