CONTROL GAME is a relatively fast-paced murder mystery set in Stanford, California, Madeira Beach, Florida, and the jungles of Colombia. Stanford grad students create a computer game incorporating the latest global brain research. The context for the story is controlling behavior in games people play in their relationships and varying costs to the players.When sultry Stanford grad. student Maria Munoz discovers and dispatches to Bogota an unauthorized beta copy of a fun computer game, which is capable of controlling players¿ behavior including their votes, her courier goes missing in Florida weeks before Colombian elections and she resorts to extortion, kidnapping, and assault to retrieve the only remaining copy of the dangerous game. A Stanford co-ed is murdered near campus in a way that leads Justice Dept. agents to investigate and suspend the games project. In Tampa, tall auburn-haired property manager Liz Borders is suspected of drug trafficking and murder after she rents a ritzy beach condo to Maria¿s courier, whose dead body later floats ashore on a barrier island. Pinellas County Sheriff¿s Deputy Jack Darby works the Florida case. He and Liz, both divorced, meet at her dojo and date, despite ¿issues.¿ Liz uses martial arts skills to battle a desperate Maria for the game. What will the winner do with the CONTROL GAME?
