This took me entirely too long to read, for reasons unknown.

I finally finished it, and it was genuinely really good.

I loved this couple. Ryder was a strong silent type; and honestly... a vibe.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the fact that there was no breakup randomly at the ending from some form of miscommunication. It instantly got a higher star rating just for that.

I swear this woman put something on her books.

I really enjoyed how this story went,  I got hooked and kinda need more of these two. The grumpy x sunshine dynamic was everything, and I just loved the parallels they had with her parents. I really loved getting a glimpse of Graham and Hannah as parents. I loved how Gigi and Ryder grew through their relationship, and you can truly say they found their person.

I really hope (I know this series would not) she gets into writing more of some of the next generation, but I guess it's a problem that for the other few mentioned in this one are all not in college so...

Oh how I missed this world. I honestly wish Briar University was a real place because the world feels empty not having these characters exist. I love everything about this book and am so excited to see what it will all bring going forward. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this second gen and what their stories will be. Luke Ryder has officially been added to the book boyfriend list. He was so supportive and open to growing when he saw someone worth growing for. There’s so much I can say about this book but overall it was amazing and love it so much!

I don’t think I’ll ever get over the BriarU world and Elle Kennedy’s ability to write the most perfect hockey romances. It’s kinda funny listening to this next generation as it feels as if I have grown and aged with them. 

I really want a queer storyline ASAP after the little tease in this.

I loved it but I think that they were too young to get married. They've barely been dating for a few months. I get it, when you know you know but I feel like they should've waited a little more. Garrett warmed up to him after the marriage though.

It’s not a 5 because that plot twist in Vegas really caught me off guard 😂😅. I did shed a tear when Hannah and Ryder shared a sweet moment after Vegas.

Hockey player x hockey player 🏒  I love how this carried on from the off campus series it’s about Gigi garrets Graham’s kid and Hannah’s. I found it good fast paced sunshine x grumpy.

it was nice to revisit the old characters in a book that was just as good!

Only watching One Tree Hill religiously as a teenager could have prepared me for the chaos of this book. Garrett was a star as always.

what can i say? it was a really nice book. 

it was a nice change compared to the last few i read. meaning, i got genuinely invested in this one. i had picked lighter ones on purpose but i couldn’t get super excited or invested in them.

this one though, it really did it for me. 

i want to start by saying that all the characters were so likeable i can’t even believe it. like, even the ex-boyfriend, Case, was always polite and respectful with his way of talking to Gigi that you could genuinely like him. Luke’s friends were hilarious and i enjoyed reading about their lives so much. even Gigi’s bond with her father is super sweet and such a delight to read. 

the amount of hockey references of this book was also great. in many books, you just know that the MMC is a hockey player but in this one, we get to see many details about the games and the results. 

also, their character development is impressive. it’s so lovely to see their growth and love for each other. it’s such an amazing way to describe what true and right love will do to someone. how it makes you a better version of yourself. 

their chemistry is great, the spice amazing, the plot 

. i didn’t see coming so much of it. every aspect of this book was written beautifully. 

i’m genuinely impressed with this book and super happy with the time i spent reading it. it was my first book of this author and i believe she’s very talented. 

first because it seems like it’s chronologically interconnected. it’s okay though, i’ll go grab them now. k bye 😅
