25 Reasons to Hate Christmas and Cowboys

This is a cute, spicy Christmas cowboy romance, and I’m here for this. However, this book wasn’t perfect. There were aspects of the characters that felt missing, like how Isabelle got to Wyoming from Australia (more than just to design Christmas windows). I also wish we got more information on Johnny at what he does. He helps on the ranch and rides bulls, but we didn’t really get to see him do either of these things. I also wish there was more cowboy-ish things. Granted, this is a Christmas book first, so that’s the focus, but I wish there were more horses, cowboy hats, and cowboy boots.

I also don’t love the insta-love trope. I thought it was really cute that Johnny bought Isabelle the best book ever and left her a little note in the book. I also loved all of the things he did for her. But the insta-love freaked me out a little bit. Not enough to hate the book though. 

I loved listening to this as an audiobook. It was entertaining on a road trip. I especially loved the narrators. They used different voices for different characters, which really brought the characters to life, especially with Isabelle being from Australia. I also loved that Sofia and Aaron read the male and female parts regardless of whose point of view that chapter was in. That also helped bring the story to life. 

Overall, this was an entertaining small town, cowboy Christmas romance.
