The case was quite interesting but the writing was somewhat repetitive. I did appreciate the author’s honesty about how the case weighed on her emotionally in an unhealthy way. I agree with other reviewers that her behaviour  doesn’t always make her a sympathetic narrator. 

I found it a decent and realistic read overall, as the story grapples with the reliability/unreliability of investigation and how we decide who is guilty of a crime and who isn’t - within the justice system but also as citizens outside the courts.
