DNF Review:
I wanted to love this one, even purchased the audio for this one and even with really good narrators...this book isn't for me. And quite frankly I am losing interest in this author. The heroine was a complete brat and the hero gets treated horribly by the women around him. I am not for authors writing men being abused. shrugs will be returning my audio copy. This author doesn't really even write westerns at all, its just really small town and her writing just isn't for me that much. I do think she is losing her touch which I think can happen with hyped books. Best wishes though to her. I just think other than a couple of books in her previous series, the way she writes her heroines just turns me off. That style just isn't going to be for me unless she can start making them more likeable.

begin again and everything has changed by taylor swift - yes these two songs perfectly encapsulate rosieford's relatioship
want me by stephen dawes - definitely ford's song - "you're so cool, i wanna be your boy"
oh to be loved by ford grant, the hot yearning billionaire nerd GOD I NEED HIM SO BAD!! the way this man has me giggling and fanning myself OOF
i also love the callbacks to rosie’s diary which elicits old memories of basically ford being so down bad for rosie when they were younger hehehe like he was obsessed since DAY ONE FR
also ate up the dynamic where rosie the people pleaser and ford the one who would do anything (and spend any amount of money) for her <3

Amazing found the completely new story line refreshing loved loved Cora and the mentioning of willa. The romance bickering was fun and different but overall just loved ford and Rosie

Ford Grant and Rosalie Belmont, what a couple. They just fit together perfectly, constantly teasing each other by insulting one another. This book had me laughing out loud at certain bits. Omg and Ford and Cora, so sweet. When she called him dad at the end my heart ached for Ford in a good way because all he wanted to do was be the best he could for her considering the circumstances and by Cora giving him that title it only confirmed he did do his best for her

Loved it! Funny character dynamic, lovely setting and good spice!

Why, this was cute. Had me kicking up my feet in the air while reading.
Was it over the top? Of course. Do I mind in my light-read-romance-breaks? Nope, couldn't care less.
This was an easy read, with lovable characters, a cute small town setting and only a teensie-tiny dash of the tropes I hate. It wasn't deep, but the was neither something I expected, nor wanted, when I picked this up.
Adding the second one to the tbr as we speak. :)

This has got to be one of the most boring contemporary romances I’ve ever read. I honestly don’t know why it’s so popular. First of all, it starts out with the MMC learning he has a “child” which I put in quotes because it was a sperm donation. She’s not his daughter, he owes her nothing, and yet by the end she’s calling him dad??? Strains credulity. The chemistry between these two is also only sort of there. They bicker and fight for no reason but it also turns them on? It’s giving toxic. And it’s certainly not “wild love” - it’s vanilla with some sprinkles at best. I don’t understand why we’re lusting after Ford - he’s so boring and Rosie is annoying. The third act break up was stupid and over in 30 sec. and I just can’t believe I actually finished this book.

I will happily admit that I appear to be in a romance phase at the moment, With a lot of Work stresses and busy weekends on the go at the moment it’s difficult to keep up with everything so getting lost in a Romance book is the perfect way for my brain to switch off from it all and This book was exactly what I needed. It’s my first Elsie Silver book and I can confirm that it won’t be my last; I really enjoyed this one and was just the perfect book for Summer!
Ford is a billionaire that’s been totally in love with his best friend’s sister since they were kids. But obviously you don’t ever mess with your best friend’s sister.
Rosie is a sassy hot mess returning to her small town after she breaks up with her boyfriend, loses her job and has student debt in masses. Both end up back home to their roots to start fresh and when Rosie asks Ford for a job the 2 of them are unable to deny the magnetic connection they have always had.
This was such an entertaining and fun read that was easy to escape to and get lost into the world created. This is mostly a character driven story, as the focus is on the characters and their lives, so there isn't much going on plot-wise, which I think you can expect from Romance books from time to time.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book, even though it didn't give me the small-town vibes I was expecting. I had so much fun reading it, it made me giggle and laugh many times, so I'd say it was a win. I'm looking forward to continuing the series

I’m gonna start this review saying that I’ve never EVER liked the main characters so much, both Rosie and Ford kept surprising me with how they handled things (their frenemies situation was also 🤌🏻), I don’t think they put unnecessary drama in any point of the book, even the conflict in the end was handled right I really loved Cora (nothing like a 12 year old to say the best things at the worst times) I also liked how the author brought the whole grief/depression situation around them, even though it didn't go very deep into the topic, I liked how she brought the subject up I’m so excited to West’s story, the sneak peak in the end was 10/10!!! I’m glad to know that he’s next

I just love the way Elsie Silver writes about small town romance and all these farm people. Like it’s so different from what I read but I really like them. I’m so obsessed with Ford and the way he thinks. He’s so protective and so manly but in such a gentle and respectful way (not me talking about a fictional man in so much detail) 😭. Long story short this book was too too good but it was such a drag😭

This book made me giggle, laugh and cry. It was really good. Ford was a little cringe sometimes, but he is the world's hottest billionare so I forgive him.
I did like that the end conflict wasn't them breaking up, it was just a hitch in their relationship that they had to talk through to then get better.
First Elsie Silver book and I wasn't dissapointed.

4/5⭐️ • 3/5🌶️
I’m utterly embarrassed for how long it took me to read this. It was a really good book, but I guess my motivation wasn’t there to read it when I thought it was. I think if I had read it at the time I really wanted to I would have read it immediately and rated it higher. I really liked the characters and the storyline. I think I would have wanted a bit more Cora especially when it was a single dad story. Especially wanted more Ford, Rosie, and Cora scenes. Also while I understood the third act break up it felt a little random at the same time. I think it was a good thing to have but it felt so easily forgotten especially with how Ford betrayed Rosie’s trust. I’m intrigued with what the next book will bring and what else our favorite Ball Buster bowling team will bring us in the Rose Hill series.

The writing felt very young and repetitive at points but a quick easy read!

Whenever someone asks me why I have such high expectations from men I’m going to give them this book 🫶🏻

When Rosie Belmont's boss gropes and then fires her, and her boyfriend doesn't seem to care, she decides it's time to go home to Rose Hill to see her brother, West. After she arrives, she is overcome by the kindness of her brother's best friend, Ford Grant. She and Ford always had a contentious relationship that they more than likely used to hide their feelings for one another. Ford gives her a job, and she finds a place with him and his newly discovered biological daughter, Cora, but unresolved issues may keep their new idealic life from becoming a reality.
Wild Love is a good beginning to the Rose Hill series based on the town where they all live. While the story is a very enjoyable read and the characters likable, everything is just too perfect including Ford Grant. The whole plot is just too unrealistic to be believable. Lots of humor and witty banter as well as Rosie's diary entries all add to the entertainment value of this novel, but the stakes for the characters and the level of angst just fall a little short. Overall, Wild Love makes for a pleasant and light reading experience.

OBSESSED. ford? ily. rosie? ily. i can’t wait for the next book!!!

I will forever love Elsie Silver

I loved the banter between the two main characters especially the work emails. The bowling team names were really funny. Another quick read. ❤️

It was cute lol but that’s about it. Didn’t hate it but I also don’t love it.

“That journal entry is fascinating, but all wrong. I was at home when you called that night. And I broke every speed limit to get to you.”

But as much as I hate to admit it, I'm tapped out on handling my own shit. All of a sudden, it dawned on me that I am monumentally tired of having it all together.
so true rosie

I cup his cheek and give his head a little shake. " Because who else would put up with me?"
Then he drops his head to my chest and murmurs, " Putting up with you is my favourite thing to do."
