Elsie Silver and marriage of convenience? Yeah, sign me up. I binged this book and loved almost every second of it. Now I have to be honest, when I was younger to when I was about 18 I did in fact watch professional wrestling, specifically the brand that the MMC was envisioned in this book. I have to say the wrestling portions in the book were the most awkward thing that I had second hand embarassment. Like I was actually questioning my childhood tastes before remembering how I came into it and the meaning it had. Because while it was kind of like a phase for me during a rough time and helped me bond with my dad there are some people live and breath it well into their life. And yeah the Wild Side stuff was yikes and honestly that’s where my deduction came from. But other than that the romance aspect to the book was amazing and I’m so excited for more books by Elsie and to see what book 4 will bring.

After reading Silvers other books I was expecting more tbh...

Wild Side is a cute small town romance set in Rose Hill, as were the other books in the series so far. We get to witness the story of Tabby and Rhys, get to have some more glimpse into the same timeframe we have already witnessed in the previous books of this series but from new points of view and subsequently also meet the other characters again.
I have noticed that this turned out to be somewhat of a comfort series for me as I get exactly what I expect and that’s not a bummer for me in romances. The characters evolve, there’s no artificial way of blowing problems into bigger versions just because pages need to be filled and instead there’s a lot of room for the relationship of two interesting characters to evolve.
These are not and will never be the deepest level of romance I have ever read, but I will continue to pick them up for exactly what they are: Comfort, cute romance, low threshold entertainment and lovable characters all around.
