There's Something About Vegas

Rissa Five years ago, I did something impulsive. I turned myself into a cliché when I decided to be spontaneous and hopped in my car and took off to Vegas. I had no idea that decision would come back to haunt me. Now, I am a super star, engaged to a rock star, and have everything I could ever want. Until my world implodes around me and I find myself running back to where it all began. Cole Five years ago, the woman of my dreams walked into my club. And as quickly as she entered, she fled. All I was left with were memories and a piece of paper. I searched everywhere for the girl who starred in all of my wildest fantasies, but it wasn't until her life got turned upside down that she came barreling back into mine with more complications then I could have dreamed. I fell for her, hard. What she doesn't know is I have a secret that could very well tear us apart. I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Ember-Raine Winters! What an entertaining story! I was completely captivated from start to finish. Rissa/Honey's love story is unconventional, to say the least, but it is that unconventionality that makes it so enthralling. Yes, the book follows the "formula" I often talk about, but I was surprised by plot twists, which made the smaller things unpredictable - which made me a very happy person. One surprise that didn't work for me is the complete turnaround of a certain character. Their demeanor changed in a heartbeat and I felt as though it may have had to have been more gradual (wew that's a lot of have/had in one sentence!). Therefore, that drastic change made the story less so realistic in a sense. I'm not saying people can't change, but that was like one second to the next. Other than that, it was a super fun read that was different from anything I've read before!
