I fully admit that Emily Carroll can do no wrong in my eyes. Beneath the Dead Oak Tree is a short story about a terrible man and terrible choices. It's a lovely, disturbing, and outright creepy poem with such beautiful art. Damn, what a fantastic little book :)

What a haunting short story! A beautiful one, the llustrations so divine and the story so creepy and chilling, unsettling even. Wonderful!
