I first heard about Emily Ley through following her friend Lara Casey (creator of the Power Sheets and author of Make Things Happen). As a recovering perfectionist, the idea of choosing grace over perfection really resonated with me and I was excited to read this book. In addition, the cover is gorgeous, the pages are thick, and the navy ribbon bookmark adds a touch of sophistication to the book.

Emily Ley writes from her own personal journey as well as an encouragement for others. Be less hard on ourselves, lighten our load, decrease the pace of activity, halt comparison, and embrace who we are. Fair warning: quite a bit of the book that is targeted at moms and if you, like me, are not in that season of life you might not 100% relate to everything in the book. That said, I found Emily's writing to be relatable, easy to read, and I appreciated her vulnerability as she talked about the struggles she has overcome.
