I knew I was going to read this immediately after it released. And personally it didn’t disappoint. This one is ranked pretty high out of the book in the series but it didn’t top for me. But that didn’t take away how much I love this book and how I felt from my reading experience some of the mannerisms of my favorite characters Emily has written. I also loved The Little Mermaid tie-ins. It is my favorite fairytale story from when I was younger so I really loved every little mention in the book. This book is longer than the others but I never truly lost interest and I think it flowed really well. Definitely one I love and so happy I read it immediately unlike what I did with the earlier books on the series.

Highlights

“In a different life” —I bend until mouth is centimeters from hers— “I would do anything to make you mine, and I’d bring you any person who’s wronged you and make them beg for death at your feet. All you’d have to do is say the word.”
Enzo was one of my favorite MMCs out of the entire Never After series!!

Bas sighs, dog-earing the page in his book and closing it, setting it down on the table. "It was."
My eyes widen in horror. “What?"
He straightens like he needs to be on guard.
“What do you mean 'what? How could you do that?”
He rubs at his jaw, his brows drawing down in confusion. “Do what?"
“That."I gesture at the book. "Get a bookmark, good lord. Were you raised in a barn?"
"Oh," he replies, picking the book back up and flipping it open."You mean this?"
He takes another page and slowly, torturously, curls the top part of the paper.
My skin crawls.
“You’re disgusting,” I spit out in horror.
He grins widely. “Feels good.”
