Having read the first book in this series, in my mind, Abigail was the mean girl who had a somewhat mysterious but obviously troubled home life. In this book, we got to see Abigail grow and become a better person.

I actually really like both versions of Abigail. She was such a good mean girl in the first book because even though she was obsessed with Chase in the first book, you could tell that her "love" of him was 1. because I mean, come one, it's Chase. and 2. She needed someone to hold on to. So I really enjoyed both hating and also feeling bad for her in the first book. 

But I also really liked seeing her grow and seeing her become self-aware in all the ways she had been a terrible person in the past. It wasn't overnight and she still has her mean moments. I genuinely loved those moments because someone can't go from being a completely sh*tty person to a 100% nice person with only good sides. 

Brett was really cute and I liked watching him slowly falling in love with Abigail! He was such a cute character. I just didn't feel like we got to see enough of him, nor got to know him a lot. I wish we had gotten more of him and hope that we get more of boys in the next books. 

I loved reading Abigail's redemption arc and I'm excited for the next books!
