It did feel too real in regard to employment situations. I liked the character of Girl. Buster was a bit of a mess (he was so similar to Harvard guy from Nanny Diaries). It should have been a fun read but it depressed me.

This was so confusing and depressing. I remember almost every single character in this book (the ones I can actually recall) as completely unlikable. And the scene with the women's studies majors who weren't at all interested in "feminism" (or whatever the authors' version of feminism is) was just weird.

I highly enjoyed this book. It was easy to identify with some themes in the book. I only wish there had been more closure at the end.

I had read reviews on this book before I started reading this but decided to keep an open mind. The book started out promising as I could relate. I was working with horrible people and was wondering when the day would come that I was fired for no reason. But then the book did a 180 and started stepping on a soapbox on one hand while creating a "relationship" that made no sense for a "feminist" on the other. Horribly jumbled together and conversations that seemed to ramble on - I'd recommend skipping this one.
