Gosh, I wanted to scream and cry so much throughout reading this book; wondering if Ellery was going to kill herself and if Colter or Janie were playing her. This book really brings so much emotion to the surface and is one of the most relatable books I believe I've ever read. Whether the point of view, being Ellery, is an accurate depiction of depression and suicide, I feel like I understand the illness a little more than I did before. With a romance that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster and a constant suicide plan, there really isn't anything necessarily bad about the book. I would not recommend reading if you are triggered by suicidal thoughts or actions or descriptions of blood, because there is a lot of that in this book. Although the book is seemingly very depressing, Jackson's hilarious personality and obliviousness will make any reader laugh, along with his cheekiness. Honestly, I don't care much for "gore" in a book, but this book was so well written I just couldn't put it down. This is an amazing read and I don't believe any reader would regret it.
