While Bond Girl is definitely chick lit, it's also a really interesting look at the Wall Street scene from a woman's point of view. Some of it's pretty disturbing - the sexism and the excesses. But I really wanted to root for Alex, a woman who wanted to make it in finance and has to figure out how to survive in a boys' club. And while she makes gains in business, her love life is a mess and you kind of want to smack some sense into her. There are some great characters on the floor and the antics on the floor are some of the best parts of the book. After reading this, I don't know why anyone would want to work on Wall Street!
