I will start off by saying that I received this book from my June monthly YA subscription box from BookCase.Club.

I would rate this book 2.5/5. At no point in the story did I feel attached to any of the characters, as none of them were particularly written really well. The author's writing style was choppy at best. It basically read as the main character's stream-of-conscious at the beginning, which then later took on...some sort of structure...but not really? Some people may like it; however I was about ready to put the book down because of it. Not my cup of tea. 

The only reason I finished this book is because of the clear plot and for the bits of recovery with Eden. The plot consisted of the main character Eden having an accident that caused her to fall into a coma for a month, then deal with reintegrating with society. I enjoyed reading her sessions with the therapist. I also enjoyed the realistic take on her struggling while she was in rehabilitation after the coma. This is the only bit that made the book worth reading. 

The other part of the plot involves Eden being able to communicate in the "In Between" with another coma patient, who also happens to be best friend's with Joe, who Eden falls in love with. This part was a chore to get through. I feel like the "In Between" could have been handled better with a different author's writing style...but it just didn't work for me.

The ending was trash, and I almost wish I didn't even bother wasting a day on the book.
