The first time I read this book I was 16 years old. Back then, I really loved it and was deeply invested in the story, on Eden and Tyler’s relationship. I was also very curious about everything that involved Tyler’s past and the reasons of his behaviour.It also made me so sad.
But now, 4 years later, I am even more sad to realize that I relate to this character! 

I understood, on my first read, why he acted the way he did, even if some stuff was a bit extreme, unnecessary and stupid. But now I understand him even more. I know what he was feeling, why he was so angry, why he was constantly looking for distractions… It’s just so weird to see that now, as an adult, I relate to the one character I thought I would never relate to! 

But like I said, there was unnecessary, stupid things in this book, even in the series, that is actually toxic. Like the drug dealing, or the fake pregnancy, or the crazy girlfriend. 

I know the author was very young when this book was published, but some things should not be romanticized, things that we were seeing a lot around those years, like with After from Anna Todd. Women are not superheroes for broken men. They cannot and should not have the heavy weight of the responsibility of a saviour on their shoulders. 
The things we consume, the books, the tv shows and movies we watch have an influence on our lives. We can’t always see it, but it does and it’s dangerous ! This is partly why I ended up in the situation that make me now relate so much to Tyler. And young girls should not be exposed to this kind of content. So can we please stop doing that ? 

I will obviously not continue rereading the series, but somehow there is no way where I can throw the books away, out of my bookshelf, at least not for now! I think that overall, it’s a beautiful and emotional story that taught me a lot of things and that opened my mind on new subjects ! 

I picked out this book this week because I was in the mood for romance and because I have almost no romance books on my bookshelf, but I bought two new ones the other day. Hopefully they will be good and won’t romanticized toxic behaviour. 

I have no hard feelings towards Did I mention you and Estelle Maskame, and I would recommend this series, but with a critical point of view and awareness! I really love Eden and Tyler’s relationship, they have a connection, they trust each other and can finally find ways to heal their scars together!

You know that kind of books in which you keep flipping the pages and then you find out that you've barely read 10 pages? This is it. 
I want to unread this so bad, I need to really! 
The lamest plot I've ever encountered. 
Here is the story : 
Divorced parents. Rich father whom she goes to spend the summer with. the father is remarried to a woman who has 3 children. Eden finds out that her stepbrother is a jackass. the jackass stepbrother has a girlfriend. Eden goes to parties with him. Tyler is a drug addict. she fell in love with the jackass stepbrother, kisses him, hook up with him, get arrested with him also. and then her summer is over. 
I told you the lamest. am grateful for not having to read the whole serie, I would end up committing suicide. 
I want my time back!

Loved it at first, but when i got closer to the end, i felt like the book lost its fun. It was so serious. But still a very good book!

Franchement, moi qui n'aime pas les romances clichés, j'avoue que des fois ça fait du bien. C'est un roman à lire pendant les vacances, assez addictif bien que parfois je rigolais devant certains passages tellement c'était gênant. Il se lit très rapidement (pour ma part en 1 jour). Mais ce n'est pas non plus l'histoire du siècle avec le meilleur développement lol.

A partir dos 70% eu juro que pensei que o livro chegaria às 4 estrelas quando começou a abordar - FINALMENTE- temas importantes (no caso - abuso de crianças). Mas depois, especialmente no último capítulo já não suportava mais drama e clichê desnecessário - gravidez falsa e namorada que não consegue lidar com o fim de uma relação e vira psicopata. Isso incomodou-me mas eu consegui ignorar e tentar aproveitar a experiência que até estava a gostar, especialmente por ser um romance lento e os protagonistas não se apaixonarem nas primeiras 30 páginas. Mas, no epílogo, quando se descobre que ela resolve ficar com o Dean porque é “confortável e seguro” mas que “ÀS VEZES” acontece algo entra ela e o Tyler… Epá… WTF? Eu já estava constantemente revoltada por o Tyler trair a namorada com ela mas dado que a relação dela era pura farsa, consegui fechar os olhos especialmente porque, no fim, acabou mas a relação com a Éden e o Dean SUPOSTAMENTE é saudável e boa.
O livro é super entertainer e viciante. De verdade. Eu vou ler a continuação - embora não para já - porque as personagens começam a ficar interessantes e, no fundo, estou curiosa para ver como a relação se vai desenvolver e quero MUITO que ela acabe com o Dean e que, please God, não haja mais traições para estragar personagens que eu GOSTO.

If you're looking for great literature, "passez votre chemin" Like they say in French. But if like me you're in the middle of your midterms/finals/exams and just want a quick read with an easy to follow story line and a dash of drama (or more) , this is your book. I found it very entertaining, and that what I was searching for, difficult to put down and better than other wattpad stories I have read until now. I 'll probably read the rest of the books sometime this month, because I do want to know how things end up between Eden and Tyler.

The ship that was constantly forced on us ... I couldn't do it. I guess that from the synopsis from the book you can guess that ship and probably also the reason why I can't do it. I kind of wanted to give the book 3 stars because of that but I did really enjoy the book when it wasn't about that ship. I loved the side characters. I absolutetly loved Dean and wish we got to see more of them. 
I kind of feel like this book was wrapped up nicely and don't get why this is a trilogy but I will still pick the second book up.
By the way these covers are gorgeous.

I really loved this book. The angst, the drama, and especially the forbidden romance that takes place. Some of the secondary characters drove me insane, while others I fell in love with. I’m sorry excited to see where this story goes in the book.

This book is nothing like how I expected it to be. But that has to be because the synopsis is wrong. I was completely mislead.

Eden has no new boyfriend. I expected a little bit more drama than there was, but that's okay. The book ended the way I wanted it to and I'm glad it did.

I knew from the first book that Eden would eventually move back to Portland. I just didn't know how she was going to get there. 

This book went almost exactly how I wanted it, even though I was excited about Eden having another boyfriend. I'm glad that relationships get rekindled. When Eden talked to her dad, my anxiety went nuts. 

I'm just glad that in the end, almost everyone was happy. 

All in all, this book deserves five stars. Even with the little mess up with the synopsis.

This book had me on my toes since the first page. I was rooting for Tyler since the first page. Up until the last chapter, of course.

One of my favorite fictional couples find their way back to each other. Even with all kinds of obstacles in their way. They tell everyone their big secret.

Everything is out in the open. Finally.

My heart was pounding this entire book. It was so drama-filled, I loved it!!!

P.S. Eden's mom is the real MVP for her reaction to them telling her.

Of course, this book also ending up making me really upset/mad.

This book was everything I expected it would be. I couldn't put it down once I started it. Who doesn't like a forbidden romance??

Eden is basically me. Which is why I love her so much. She gets introduced to this partying scene that she doesn't really care for like her new friends. She meets so many new people in a small amount of time and gets dragged to things she doesn't like.

Tyler is a boy with a ton of secrets. He's dating a girl he doesn't want to date. He's partying and doing drugs. He doesn't give a shit to say the least. He's always in trouble.

Eden and Tyler are stepsiblings. Stepsiblings who just happen to have the hots for each other. Tyler thinks Eden is the perfect distraction for his messed up little mind. Eden just wants to figure him out.

When the two finally admit their feelings and hook up, all hell breaks loose. 

Tiffani (Tyler's girlfriend) finds out, and causing such a drama about it. Bitch is crazy, by the way.

In the end, the find it's "easier" to stay away from each other. 

I'm disappointed with how this book ended. But I am more thrilled with the fact that there are two more!
