I started this book with lots of hope, the premise was strong enough - a 50-year old Danish/Korean woman found out that her Korean grandfather willed her a house in a place called Lemon Mountain, outside of Seoul. Sui, our main character, who just got a divorced from her long term husband packed her bags and left to Korea, to get to know about the late grandather that she never met.

From here, it goes downhill. The book felt chaotic if not messy. She suddenly met Kunwoo, another Danish/Korean that creepily followed her across the world after seeing her social media post that she moved to Korea, and got tangled in the life of Siu, the place’s gardener and Harata, the hot Maori boy who worked at the convenience store nearby.

I get it, it’s a story about letting go, embrace the unknown and all but I just think that it was quite messy storytelling imho.
