This is the first book in the Alien Mate Index Series. It’s a gripping read from start to finish and thankfully it continues in the following books of Protected; Descended and the forth is on its way.
Which is eagerly awaited by those of us who enjoy reading Evangeline Anderson’s books.

This book centres on Zoe and Sarden. With Sarden thinking that he can use Zoe to bargain with to get his sister back which makes you feel for him
There is also a villain (Doloroso) who can download himself into other peoples bodies taking over them in his quest to bring back his people who have been destroyed leaving him alone with some mad brained idea that if he can impregnate Zoe he will be able to create a hybrid that will bring around the dawn of a new era for his people.
His story is the back story throughout all of the books so far as well as the fact that Zoe and her friends are all La-ti-zals meaning that they have powers Zoe’s is that she can unlock anything which is kind of handy if you lose your key’s.
I love the fact that Sarden fights his feelings for Zoe but can’t stop him-self from loving her this leaves this book a true romance that will have you pulled into its world and leave you wanting more.
