I knew I was going to love this book in the first few pages, and it only got better from there. A quirky workplace satire that grows into something more like a thriller.

I picked up this novel under the impression it was a dark romance, maybe leaning toward a thriller. Unfortunately, at first, the novel only felt like an ikea parody, then adding in a romance element which didn't become dark until about 60% into the book. Overall, it was underwhelming. Ava does get out of the abusive relationship she finds herself in, but I didn't feel she ultimately grew or learned from it and neither did the people around her.
