I love this little prequel to Knox. This is my first eve jagger book, and I don't know how I've never read the rest of her books! But I'm going to!!!! Out of order though, because I have to read Knox RIGHT NOW!

This was my first read by Eve Jagger and I will definitely be picking up the rest of this series!

Shelby has rotten luck when it comes to dating....mainly because her brother Jackson puts an end to anything that has a potential to reach the third date. After once again being "ditched" at the last minute, Shelby loses it. She's had enough with Jackson's interference. 

While taking a breather on the rooftop of her brother's nightclub, she meets a man who is not at all hard on the eyes. It turns out he is Cooper Knox, a New York Yankees ballplayer. His name sounds familiar though....and not because of his career. Knox is a silent partner of Jackson's and part owner of the nightclub. This means he is OFF LIMITS.

But Shelby is looking for a little revenge, and neglects to tell Knox who she really is when she puts two and two together.

She ends up leaving the club with him and spends an unbelievably hot night with him. Jackson will never know.......after all Knox will be heading back to New York in the morning and Shelby got what she wanted. But the chemistry is unmistakable.

The next day, as Knox is heading to the airport to return home he receives a call. He's been traded to the Atlanta Braves. At first he is shocked and mad.....but then he realizes this might be a huge opportunity. He would be back near his friends, his bar, and most of all, Shelby.

This novella set up the story for Eve's next novel which I will be waiting for! She writes amazing sex scenes....guaranteed to leave you wanting more!
