Overall I think this was a decent read for me. I liked the story like line for the most part, and I was expecting the things that didn’t satisfy me. So let’s get into it shall we.....?

First, this book isn’t the dark erotica read that you’re looking for if you want kinky smut. It has some kink mostly power play, and degradation. Otherwise I’d say it was a bit vanilla in that aspect, compared to my other reads. The scenes were still hot and not too sparse although it is a bit of a slow burn. 

My main issue with this book....
The romance. 
The transition from enemies to lovers was definitely rushed, it felt like the author just wanted to get there. I wasn’t too mad considering they were mates, so that made their bond stronger. Usually this would be a complete turn off for me but it was somewhat bearable in this one and....a bit expected in enemies to lovers trope. I find it hard to find authors who can make the transition smooth and realistic. Still love it tho.

It definitely left some questions unanswered and some plot lines undeveloped but it wasn’t too big of a problem. I think I was satisfied with the majors ones that were. 

Also If you’re adverse to cursing this book is definitely not for you. It would be hard to find a page where Jake isn’t cursing every sentence. 

Over all, this was a fast erotic read that moved at a nice pace, I think if that’s what you’re looking for this would be enjoyable. If you’re looking for well developed plot and world building I might look elsewhere.
