Exit Strategy The Murderbot Diaries

Martha Wells2018
Martha Wells's Hugo, Nebula, Alex, and Locus Award-winning, New York Times and USA Today bestselling series, The Murderbot Diaries, comes to a thrilling conclusion in Exit Strategy. Murderbot wasn’t programmed to care. So, its decision to help the only human who ever showed it respect must be a system glitch, right? Having traveled the width of the galaxy to unearth details of its own murderous transgressions, as well as those of the GrayCris Corporation, Murderbot is heading home to help Dr. Mensah—its former owner (protector? friend?)—submit evidence that could prevent GrayCris from destroying more colonists in its never-ending quest for profit. But who’s going to believe a SecUnit gone rogue? And what will become of it when it’s caught? "I love Murderbot!" —Ann Leckie The Murderbot Diaries #1 All Systems Red #2 Artificial Condition #3 Rogue Protocol #4 Exit Strategy At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

** spoiler alert ** I think this has been my favorite book in this series. Murderbot’s character development was so great and I legit cried when it almost sacrificed itself and went into system shutdown.

Murderbot Diaries despite having very intimidating looking covers and series name, are such sweet novellas. They tell the story of a robot who's learning to have emotional reactions and have friends while acting as a security robot. I love reading each novel and seeing how much he grows in each installment. And I just want everyone to read them and fall in love with murderbot, they're such easy scifi, I swear!

While hints of the larger narrative have been in the past two books, it's nice to actually get to what feels like the meat of the series. It's also progresses MurderBot's character exploring his more human side and connection

As usual Murderbot's shenanigans were quite fun to follow, it has an uncanny propensity to find itself in crazy dangerous situations, which makes each book a wild ride. I regret that there wasn't a fun sidekick in this one and I really hope ART will make a comeback for book #5!

Another great Murderbot Diaries. Like the other volumes, Exit Strategies is thoroughly enjoyable because of the way Martha Wells writes the character of SecUnit and the action scenes (which are edge-of-your-seat thrilling). The whole series so far has been a delight to read and I’m moving straight onto the next installment.

Another great addition to the series. I liked that we came back and revisited characters from the first book and that Murderbot’s humanity continues to develop and change. It’s just such a heartwarming, medium-low stakes world that I really appreciate it. The writing is so funny and clever at times that I just love being in Murderbot’s head.

Definitely my favourite from the series thus far. This instalment builds up on Murderbot's complexity quite successfully and further strengthens the character voice. Plenty of fun scenes from action point of view, too.

More fun adventures with Murderbot! I particularly liked how the four novellas built up to one arc and that the characters from the first one came back to help. These are just such a breeze to get through.

Murderbot saves the day! The last of the Murderbot Diaries, Exit Strategy is fun, fast-paced thriller as well as a sharp, humorous, and often moving character study on what being human means. Note: Being human might just mean that you are hardwired to enjoy a hug, as much as you want to despise the embrace.

This one gets us to a good stopping point with the Murderbot. Heroism is what you DO, not what you talk about. I love Murderbot.

When tying up loose ends, make sure you have an Exit Strategy. The Murderbot Diaries continues to delight, and it's fun to see some follow-up to previous characters.
