Dracula s'ennuie, seul, dans son château. Il est malade, atteint par une étrange maladie qui l'oblige à boire du sang. Son médecin lui a interdit de sortir, car il est contagieux. Pourtant, Dracula ne rêve que d'aller s'amuser avec ses amis. Après sa rencontre avec un voyageur venu de Londres, Dracula décide malgré tout d'aller faire la fête dans cette belle ville. Bien vite, il se rend compte qu'il contamine son entourage et il est forcé de rentrer chez lui. Mais plus question, cette fois, de rester enfermé tout seul : les nouveaux vampires contaminés sont bien décidés à faire la fête avec lui ! L'adaptation d'une série de classique du fantastique découle avant tout du souhait de faire connaître aux plus jeunes lecteurs des textes fondateurs de ce courant littéraire. Car les jeunes lecteurs ont tous déjà entendu parler de vampires, de voyages extraordinaires ou de créatures étranges, sans savoir pour autant qui sont vraiment Frankenstein ou le capitaine Némo.
