3.5. In this sophomore outing in the DI Greene series, it’s another twisty mystery that needs solving. The same team and the same personal problems distracting Hillary. I would like to those parts of the story to move faster, but that seems to be a common tactic for mysteries (Martha Grimes, Elizabeth George, etc). How I miss the swiftness with which Lord Peter Whimsey and Harriet Vane met, courted, married and honeymooned in just 4 Dorothy Sayers books! Unless someone can introduce me to another great mystery series, I’ll keep reading these whilst I await the next E. George, Grimes, Tana French, Louise Penny, Ian Rankin, Stephanie Plum, David Rosenfeld, etc...
