Faking Ms. Right is a flirty and fun romantic comedy. This is my first book by Claire Kingsley, and it was absolutely divine. I cannot wait to continue this series and to dive into her other books as well.

Everly Dalton doesn’t have the best luck in the dating department. She has a long-standing record of horrible dates and has decided to take a hiatus from all men. She has been the assistant to Shepard Calloway for three years. Shepard Calloway is a rich CEO that has his fair share of horrible g/f as well. He is hardwired to keep his feelings in check and is overly friendly.

These two come together in an unexpected situation and the chemistry is off the charts. While they are the complete opposite, they bring out the best qualities in one another. The attraction was real and although they were together because of a ruse, they learn things about each other that brings out all the feelings.

If you love a good romantic comedy with some spice this is the book you are looking for.

Faking Ms. Right is my first claire Kingsley book, and I loved it, especially shepherd, his dad, and his brother ethan, it felt like I was a part of their family, being into the character’s head made me feel everything, I really thought it was an angsty book at the end, but claire surprised me with it, I didn’t have to cry so much, put the book aside, and then read again. I loved a lot of scenes in this book, how shepherd loved her and didn’t stop her from getting another job, even though he didn’t want to let her go. Their chemistry with each other, his dad; a cute teddy bear with a golden heart, but a poor luck with women. I loved his dad’s character so much! Everly, on the other hand was a passionate, loving character I related to. I had a good time reading it! I’ll definitely check out other books!

-“Well, a certain someone published another article. I don’t understand why the scientific community doesn’t run him out of town, metaphorically speaking. He’s a menace"

-Hazel was a psychology researcher at UW. She’d been embroiled in what was becoming a vicious rivalry with another psychologist for months. It was all she could talk about

-Hazel tended to have a one-track mind. Once in a while, we used the word obsessive, although she denied it. But she was definitely becoming obsessed with this guy and his supposedly bad research.

“I know how you should deal with him.” Nora smirked behind her drink.

Hazel pursed her lips and raised an eyebrow. “I’m not sleeping with Corban Nash.”

“I actually agree with Hazel,” I said. “That’s a terrible idea.”

“I never said anything about sleeping,” Nora said. “I was thinking more along the lines of blowing his mind by fucking him senseless a few times.”

My cheeks flushed hot and I glanced away, clearing my throat.

🏹 “I love you. I think I’ve loved you since the moment you stepped out of that car in that goddamn red dress. And I’ve fallen a little bit more in love with you every day. I should have told you a hundred times, but I’m an emotionally stunted robot”

🏹Do you remember the first night we slept in bed together?”

“I barely slept because all I could think about was how beautiful you were. How good you smelled. I kept wondering how I’d worked with you for years, but I’d never really seen you. But I know exactly why. I didn’t let myself see you. Not because you worked for me, although that was part of it. But mostly because deep down, I knew if I did, I’d fall for you. And that fucking terrified me.”

He glanced away again and rubbed his jaw. It seemed like he had more to say

🏹“Everly,” he said, his voice soft and low. “I love you. Please come home.”

My eyes stung with tears and I squeezed them shut. Relief poured through me. He’d said it. It was real. Shepherd Calloway loved me.

I love Shep! I love his secret side, the way he talks, just gahhh 😍😍❤.

What a sweet, dramatic romance novel. These two fit perfectly together, and while I despise the color yellow, I still loved the book 😉
