I think I have found a new addition to my regular list of authors under my mystery/crime thriller reads!! This is the 2nd book of J.D Robb, I have read which is part of a larger In Death series but can be read randomly as each novel has a stand alone plot. Fantasy in death is about a murder mystery set in the computer gaming or as in the book it's called e gaming world. The main characters Eve and Roarke are as usual really awesome in my head ( Roarke is super hot in my head!!). Peabody and McNab are adorable! I like how the book is traditional in it's setting , like how it starts with a murder , then the cops are notified, the investigate and then ends with a bang! There is no figuring out for like first 100 pages like WTH is going on.. or figuring out who is who. I do like my twisted books as well but from time to time I prefer such books too. I would love if someone could just make it into a nice tv series just coz I want to see how the main characters will be fast! ( Just my wishful thinking) Again, since I started reading them in random order, I am itching the read the first few books to get a hang of the character history. I give it a nice 4/5 for pure old school murder mystery entertainment with a futuristic touch!!

Not one of my favorites in the series. You would think, as a gamer, I would eat this one up, but frankly, while I liked the idea of the plot the story itself dragged a bit for me and the resolution was a bit willy-nilly for me, but of course, this won't stop me from continuing with the series.
