This is a mainstream introductory Italian programme that develops the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and increases students' awareness of and appreciation for Italian culture. The fifth edition retains the successful organization and format of previous editions. It features expanded cultural coverage, heavily revised and many more communicative exercises, an attractive design and a more manageable number of lessons (reduced from 22 to 20).
