           i have not cried as hard at any death in any media ever, as hard as i did this one. such a perfect book, it was my Favorite Book of All Time at age 12 (why was my first ever "death trope" experience my most beloved book at the seventh grade — i feel as though that may be concerning), and 7 years later it still is my dearest, my most precious. maybe not thee favorite of mine anymore, but dangerously close. nothing will ever make me feel what these boys have made me felt — the writing is both easily digestible and beautiful, the plot is so small and contained yet so much bigger than itself. the characters!!! GOD THE CHARACTERS !!!!
