HONESTLY, IF I COULD, I WOULD DEFINE IN WORDS HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS BUT I CAN'T
THIS IS CUTE FUN SWEET SOMETIMES A BIT SAD ALL AT ONCE AND A GREAT READ AAAAA

I should stop using caps to try at least be concise but like seriously this book was great, entertaining, it made me laugh, cry, filled my stomach with butterflies and it made me feel like i was a teen once again

3.5 rounded up to 4/5 stars (solely because I enjoyed reading the queer romance. 

Although the writing did feel dragged at times (certain events could have been described not-so-fully? idk) but still overall i had fun with the story. Mat. Ohgod Mat. He is the definition of a perfect boyfriend (which let's be real doesn't actually exist irl) but it was fun to read about. 
absolutely loved Jules and his journey of self acceptance. His dad. F*cking assh*le. I wish someone would have actually slapped him in the face rather than the formality in the name of confrontation that happened. Very very much appreciate the elder sibling from the story. Made me want/wish/yearn for an understanding elder sibling all over again.

A gripping coming of age insta love YA novel. There was a lot more Spanish in this book than I expected, but I could sort of figure out it from context clues. I am always happy to see queer representation in YA books and this one felt so realistic to me, especially when Jules wonders why it can't be like in the movies (although by the end it kinda was ;))

This was such a beautiful coming of age story, I don't know how to do it justice in a review. There was so much love and so much warmth, and also so much pain and trauma. And all of it was handled so delicately and so honestly that there were moments I cried and thought, "This book is going to stick with me for a long time."

I actually started this book after finishing A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire because I needed a break from fantasy and I had to catch up with arcs. Let’s just say that I FREAKING loved this book. Seriously, throughout this book I keep going “awe” and “omg so cute” in a whisper (since it was 1am).

This book warmed my heart so much I couldn’t stop smiling. The chemistry and all the things that Mat and Jules went through since they were in long distance relationship was very realistic and I loved how Mat was always there for Jules while he was going through being out in his small town.

They started out as friends but they just had so much in common and chemistry that they just couldn’t stay away from each other. Also, the side characters are AMAZING in this book. Jules’ best friends are seriously the best found family that he could have when coming out to his high school and the things that happened with his dad.

His actual family like his sister and grandfather made me tear up and just feel wonderful whenever they were there to support him. I’m definitely getting a finished copy when it comes out JUNE 8TH!

I loved this book so, so, so much. Even though there are some scenes that are really sad and hard to read as a queer person, it's also so cute and so funny and I would die for the main characters. "Fifteen Hundred Miles from the Sun" is the perfect queer YA book and I can't wait to re-read it!

This book for sure reached Favorites status and will probably live rent free in my brain alongside AFTG, Green Creek, and Cerulean Sea. 

This book was a lot of things. Cuteness. Panic. Friendship. Loyalty. Pain. Growth. Disappointment. Joy. 

I want to buy 100 copies and send them to all my teacher friends, and to all my family members. I already want to re-read it. I loved Mat and Jules so much and wanted to wrap them in a warm blanket the whole time and just cuddle them. I wanted to tell Jules that I'd listen to him whenever he needed and provide a soft place to land if he needed it. I wanted to ask questions about things that were unfamiliar to me and learn about them. 

I just really loved it.

If you're looking for an absolute feel good m/m romance, PICK THIS ONE UP. Some parts will hurt you, break you, literally tear you apart. But then the next chapter will stitch you back up, and your heart will explode with queer pride and love. Reality is harsh but oh, so, so good when you are true to yourself. 💛🌈

I absolutely love this book. It covers some heavy topics, like physical abuse and a fair bit of homophobia. The relationship between Jules and Mat is beautiful, and all of the friendships are so heartwarming. My favourite trope is the big sister taking in the younger queer sibling after the queer sibling is kicked out, even though they haven't been in touch for a long time. This is the second book I've read with this trope and I am living for it! Supportive older siblings are the best! I feel like the long distance relationship was covered really well throughout this book and I enjoyed the suspense, wondering whether Jules and Mat would get a happy ending. I love these characters and this story so much. I can't wait to read more books by this author.

4.5* A truly gorgeous read that shattered my heart into a million pieces but did more than enough to carefully glue those pieces together again in a way that left it glowing with joy.

Exploring coming out, facing your future, first love, the positive side of the social media and family, both by blood and by choice, this book was authentic, devastating, utterly adorable and filled with hope. I absolutely loved it.

If you're looking for a book that'll make you laugh, cry and smile until your face aches, characters you'll fall in love with and a relationship that'll made you squee, this is the book for you. 

Jonny Garza Villa is going to do amazing things and I can't wait to devour whatever they write next.
