Além do grafismo maravilhosamente expressivo, a narrativa com um humor trágico conduz-nos num livro maravilhoso. A sensibilidade dos temas que toca, a viagem por onde nos conduz... é impossível de largar. E a sublimidade do humor da personagem é qualquer coisa! Desiludiu-me, em parte, o final. Algo previsível e a tocar o clichê... mas ainda assim será um livro para reler uma e outra vez! :) 4,5⭐️
The saddest and the most beautiful I’ve read in while. It’s sad to see a men being your worst enemy and beautiful because of his redemption. A must read! A the art is breathtaking!

A "Balada para Sophie" revelou-se uma história comovente de como um brilhante maestro e pianista vive atormentado com os fantasmas do passado. Julien Dubois ambicionava conseguir vencer François Samson, contudo nunca o conseguiu e acabou por roubar a François o que ele mais amava, mas nunca conseguiu ser feliz e viveu com a mágoa do que fez e dos traumas sofridos pela mão da mãe. As ilustrações de "Balada para Sophie" são simplesmente mágicas, expressivas e com desenhadas com um pormenor fantástico. O sentido de humor de alguns personagens é fabuloso, e a história é tão crua, terna e envolvente que rapidamente cheguei ao fim e soube-me a pouco, por isso li de novo, desta vez ao som da "Balada para Sophie" no Spotify. Este livro é uma verdadeira obra de arte a vários níveis, e esta foi uma das histórias mais lindas que li.
I wish I had this book for me so freaking badly! This is a complete masterpiece. Since I started liking more graphic novels I became more aware of what kind of illustrations do I actually enjoy looking at. Just like sometimes we judge a book by its cover I definitely judge a graphic novel by its graphics. Sometimes I'll give it the benefit of the doubt because although I may not particularly love the drawings it may make sense when paired with the story. These graphics and the overall aesthetic of the book captivated me right away. Little did I know the story, although amazing, would be so freaking sad. I feel like I hadn't had my heart broken like that in so long. Seriously, I rarely feel any overwhelming emotions with either books or movies/series. Who should have thought that I would get so emotionally attached to such a short story and with such cute and colorful drawings? Not only does it has super flawed and interesting characters it has a bunch of dark themes that only get worse as the plot progresses. Plus it caught me off guard multiple times, I never knew what was going to happen. Beautiful and clever both in writing and in illustrations.
Este livro é um clássico instantâneo! Apesar de já ter gostado bastante dos anteriores desta dupla (cada um à sua maneira mas talvez, em especial, do Vampiros), o Balada Para Sophie está num campeonato completamente à parte. Foi dos melhores livros de banda desenhada que alguma vez li - a amostra é modesta mas o elogio é sincero. Recomendo-o a toda a gente!
