Find Your why A Practical Guide to Discovering Purpose for You Or Your Team
Reviews

Note: I skipped the group Why discovery chapters since I was looking for a personal career development book. I read a lot of leadership books and by now most of them sound the same to me. This book could have been an article, it has too much "fluff" in it. It tries to appeal to a wide audience and it lacks depth. The authors focus on finding your WHY which sounds like an audacious, personal and life-changing task. Then they suggest that you start sharing it with strangers on a plane (to be fair - they suggest sharing it with everyone who asks you "what you do" but you get the point). They focus on finding your WHY but not so much on what to do after you've found it. I know, this is exactly what the book title promises so I guess they are working on a sequel "what to do with your WHY after you've found it". If you are thinking to read this book for the purposes of personal career development, I beg you, read The Career Stories Method: 11 Steps to Find Your Ideal Career—and Discover Your Awesome Self in the Process instead. It uses a similar approach - finding your inner purpose through storytelling but it is focused on career stories and does it through self-awareness/mindfulness journey.
