I have never smiled so much while reading a book.

So, so sweet...

Meh

This is a very cute, fluffy romance between two adorable men. There is absolutely no angst or conflict, just a very amusing meet cute and instant connection followed by a sweet love story. Definitely read this one if you are in a mood for something that will make you smile and happy 😃😃

Cute! I'd been reading quite a few dark/angsty/heavy books, before I saw this one - and I know that if you ever want a wholesome story, turn to N. R. Walker. I loved the setting, and the characters (especially the secondary characters!), and the dog. It was all ... sunny! The reason I didn't give it more than 3 stars is probably that I just wanted a bit more development from the main characters. I don't know if this is a product of having read TOO many angsty books of late, but I just found it hard to get into each characters head. I felt more connection to Bernice at times! (Which is fine because she was rad). Anyway, I literally said "Awww - cute!" as I finished the last chapter, so I can honestly say I liked it. And I'll continue turning to N. R. Walker for some light, fluffy HEA goodness as needed.

A May 2021 'Pick It For Me' choice from the Gotta Have Romance with a Kick group. 3.5 cute AF ⭐️. Sweet but not sugary, sexy but not too much, funny but not laugh out loud; this was a lovely, low no angst, heartwarming and quick romance read between two cinnamon roll men. There were definitely three main characters in this book as Whippet the pup not only brought them together with his disappearing act, but was there along the journey with them on almost every page and that made my heart sing. The love between the guys developed a bit quickly, but I was really pleased that there was a fair bit of time with them talking and getting to know each other, even though they obviously both couldn't keep it in their pants for too long! I'd love an epilogue a few years down the line, a slice of life with Dane and Griffin and their two furbies. I also absolutely LOVED the cool and fully accepting septuagenarian (yea for older characters with kick!) Bernice/Bunny and her filter-free shenanigans and my heart skipped a beat when she had her 'turn' but she came through and I was pleased about that.
