A gorgeous travelogue and literary historical exploration, tinged with the tragic backdrop that is Burma. Larkin's voice is strong, and allows for the Burmese experience to seep through, both colonial-era Burma as well as in the modern day. I am so excited to read their other works, and I think the work they do pseudonymously is much-needed and much appreciated.
