Fiona Cole once again took a simple book trope and created a masterpiece of it.

This book has been one big roller coaster from the start. There were times I was sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails from nerves, I was swearing at the characters, I sympathized with them, loved and hated them. Especially Nico.

Vera and Nico could not have been a more perfect fit, and their attraction was off the charts from the very beginning! 🔥 I found both of the main characters to be very pleasant, and there wasn't anything overly irritating about them.

I hope we get to see more of them in the next book in the series. I am already counting the days until we get the second book -- which in true Fiona Cole fashion will be about another couple. (Not to spoil anything, but it looks like it's gonna be ex step siblings romance 😉).

This book was so good, definitely one of my favorites this year!! Vera and Nico were everything and the story was amazing, full of drama, revenge and steamy scenes. 

Vera was the best heroine, I loved how she stood up to her father and didn’t accept less than she deserved. Nico was wonderful too, he loved his grandfather and he was the perfect alpha male and sweet when he wanted to be. 

I really enjoyed reading their story, the revenge part was what I loved the most because I knew the outcome was going to be hard for both of them, but the ending was perfect and now I can’t wait to read more of Vera’s friends.
