This was my first book by Fiona Cole, but it won’t be my last. Voyeur was so hot and so so good that I devoured it in ONE day!

Voyeur is the first book in the "Voyeur" series by Fiona Cole. This is also my very first book by this author here. So I was intrigued to see how my experience with her writing would go. I was able to participate in this read with the "Dark Romance Book Club" I am a part of. (If you love dark romance and want to join in, DM me) But anyways, I absolutely adored the way that this story was written and immediately I was sucked into the story and so loved it. Its a fabulous mix of steam and heart and character growth that just tugged at my heartstrings!

This was such a precious story and I highly recommend that if you like contemporary romance with higher steam levels or voyeurism being explored that you definitely get to experience that with this one. I simply couldn't get enough of it and really respected how it was developed on this story. Fiona Cole really tackles this taboo so well. I normally am not into Voyeurism but when its written well I can really get behind it. And this is so much more than a taboo romance. I wouldn't even necessarily call it a dark romance to be honest. It didn't really have "dark romance vibes" at least not for me. The way that Fiona Cole tackled this story was brilliantly done. We slowly see the couple have a connection before they even officially meet and I just loved seeing that. The way that the hero's character growth and seeing him deal with his past and the trauma that has disabled him in relationship was so well focused on and especially in how the heroine was able to connect with him and be so sensitive to his needs was so inspiring. I absolutely adored these two together and even the third act conflict I was on board with. The author really made it be believable.

Fourth time reading this book, and it continues to be a comfort read! But this time, I got even more from this world! A Christmas novella, the Performer novella, and annotations and commentary from the author!

Oaklyn and Callum are a couple I continue to adore, and it's why their story is such a comfort for me. And one thing I always love of Fiona's writing is how equal the spice and plot are. In this case, part of the plot that made feel so much was Callum. When the story starts and we start to meet Callum, we notice his hesitancy over dating, and later on learn he must have gone through something in his past to make him want to be a voyeur instead of participating in sex.

I’d watch what I couldn’t seem to force my body to go through with.

Then we have Oaklyn, who's just such a happy, kind, understanding woman at such a young age because of what she's gone through and how she's had to struggle to make ends meet. Which is how she gets introduced to Voyeur, a performance club, by her best friend. And this is where Callum first lays eyes on her and is smitten from the start, not knowing she's about to become his student and teacher's aid.

While I normally love the forbidden aspect in a romance and it's all I fixate on, Fiona did a beautiful job in introducing it and making it into a background trope, in order to give focus to everything else that was going on.

“You are one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever known, and I’m so grateful for any of the trust you place in me.”

Listen, there's a reason Fiona is my go-to when I need a pick-me-up, even if it means re-reading her books four times. She's phenomenal at writing romantic scenes that give you all the warm fuzzies, while also getting down and dirty for the spice, especially the dirty talk. What also makes the spice shine is the undeniable chemistry characters such as Callum and Oaklyn have. It could be felt through the pages of the book! I also loved how they got moments when there was just banter and laughter between them; it continued to make their connection more believable.

“I want the man adorably in love with the stars. I want the man who looks at me like I’m more than any of those stars.”

Now, onto all the extra content this edition has, specifically the 

“I’d create a night that made sure she never questioned herself ever again. A night ensuring she never questioned us again.” 🥵

I’m speechless… I love this Voyeur series so much, so every time Fiona Cole writes novellas, I gobble them all up. I was not expecting PERFORMER to leave me speechless!

, Oaklyn is feeling insecure about herself after giving birth, and she starts doubting her husband’s desire for her. To erase the insecurity, Callum creates a night with her as the center of attention and the performer, to show her she’s still got it.

Part of me wanted to growl at them to stop looking at my wife, but the other part wanted to beat my chest and show off my woman. Let them look. She was a thing of beauty—a work of art. She deserved to be seen.

I got heart palpitations reading the novella! Fiona NEVER disappoints with her spicy scenes. Hot damn, that was just insane. 🥵 I cannot recommend this series enough, and what a better way to kick it off than with Voyeur’s 5th Anniversary Edition! 🙌🏽

I also LOVED the author’s annotations! I need to get my hands on the physical copy so I can fully enjoy them! This edition was the treat I didn’t know I needed. 🙌🏽

Genuinely shocked at how much I enjoyed this book. I HATE age gap romances and normally stay far far away from them, but the synopsis of this book was so intriguing I gave it a chance. Safe to say this is officially the only age-gap romance book I've enjoyed. 

If you're looking for a spicy (and I mean SPICY-SPICY with a tiny side of plot) forbidden age-gap romance, you've found the right book!

 This book was amazing, I haven't read much books that actually show that the hero has life or childhood problems and the most beautiful thing that the girl fought for her man without fear..
 They wanted to be together so they'd been brave and decided to never let the past haun them... No matter how cruel it was to both of them.
 They forgave and gave a chance to love, appreciation, and sweet feelings to get to there hearts.
 I really loved the writing stile and I'm so excited to read more from the author and to check out the rest of this awesome, interesting series.
 Definitely injoyed it

Well this book was just the right amount of spice and plot that I was looking for. Hot professor and his student. SO GOOD. Such a sweet ending. With underlying plots of past trauma and current struggles. If this is any intro to the standalone series I will definitely be reading the other. I love to find a author that isn't too dark but spicy with books that are so different yet satisfy me none the less. Please read it. If you want hot but not dark this is for you.

So sexy😍🔥 I started reading and I couldn’t put it down... the chemistry between Callum and Oaklyn was definitely off the charts and I loved how the story unfolded. Callum was amazing and despite his problems I loved how he was with Oaklyn. I also enjoyed reading about the whole Voyeur club and I’m dying to read about the next characters.

This was my first book of her but it definitely won’t be my last.

I really enjoyed reading this forbidden romance of star crossed lovers. So much hardship riddles their relationship, and they seem to be hitting walls every step of the way, but we cheer for them until the finish line.

This story is intimate and will affect you. It’s different to any romance I’ve read, and I applaud the originality. The storyline and characters are ingenious. 

My favorite part of the book was the “nerding out” the characters do. It shows a lighter and passionate side to them. It made me giggle and brightened up the book. The banter between the characters also made me smile (I love me some humour in books). 

Overall, a good book by Fiona Cole and I will definitely be reading more of her books!
