MY VHALLA MY LADY MY LOVE

Daniel. That's it. That's the review. Also, (view spoiler)[ LAREL MY BABY I STILL CANT BELIVE THE AUTHOR HAD THE AUDICY TO KILL HER OFF IM SO MAD i love her MY LAREL (hide spoiler)]

I have no fucking words. What the fuck. Never forgiving Elise Kova for *that* death or THIS FUCKING CLIFFHANGER? I was planning on taking a break from this series but I'm already picking up the next book what the FUCK I had so many things to say but my emotions won't let me. I'll just say this: the ROMANCE in this one. the PINING. magnificent. anyway, off to start the third book

I am very much enjoying this journey that I’m on with all the characters, happy and sad. The only thing keeping this from a phenomenal book is the kind of jumping around that goes on or rushing some aspects.

I think I enjoyed this book more than the first. I loved the relationship between Vhalla and Aldrik, as well as the supporting cast of characters. I liked how there was more evil to combat our heroes, how things started falling into place. I’m quite enjoying this series and can’t wait to read more!

The title makes literal sense now 🤔 Also, i didn't expect this one to be so character focused, because barely nothing happens, but we got Vhalla getting more and more hard on the inside as the side effects of war

Elise Kova continues to impress with the second book of this series. While it was slightly slower in terms of plot, I was still drawn right in. The connections she creates between the reader and her characters are incredible. The relationship building is realistic, but still so fun. Kova is also not afraid to kill off her characters, and as painful as it is, I respect the hell out of her for it. And that cliffhanger….

Again, I had a hard time putting this book down. I was enthralled from the start, it leaves off with no time after the 1st.
My only fault is with how whiny Vhalla feels in this book. And how silly the arguments between her and the prince are. Arguments/misunderstandings that could have been cleared up instantly with on quick conversation early on.

Fire Falling is the second book in the Air Awakens series and picks up with Vhalla’s conscription into the army. As the first Wind Walker in over a century, she has the power to bring the Empire the final territory that stands in the way of them taking over the continent. Pros: • Vhalla and Aldrick’s relationship development- This was the best part of this book by far. The tension that led up to the hotel was fantastic and I love them together. • Training- It was nice to see Vhalla have to work really hard to train her magic and her body, it’s not as though she just was magically in fighting shape. • Expansion of side characters- Fritz, the Golden Guard, and Bauldair getting more personality was another highlight of this book and took us further into the world. Cons: • Larel- Vhalla describes her as the older sister she never had, but Larel is so unbelievably devoted to Vhalla for next to no reason. They’ve known each other for maybe a couple of months, and she gladly nurses her back to health countless times, soothes her from nightmares every single night, and more. It just felt like Vhalla totally took their relationship for granted, but I was constantly questioning how this relationship even formed that strongly in the first place? • Vhalla turning into her alter ego- I understand that this was partially a trauma response, which was nice to realistically see, however this was kind of sad and ultimately a little boring to read about. I’m giving Fire Falling 4/5 stars. There were some plot issues I had with this, but I’m still totally committed to the series and have loved it so far.

Book 2 is just as enthralling as book 1. I am excited to continue the series!

эта еще медленнее, чем предыдущая. а впереди еще три! что-то даже не знаю, надо ли мне читать

Another great installment of Vhalla's adventure. We can see her character evolving.

I can't stop reading!!!!! I love love love this world, although I wish there was more focus on the friendship between Vhalla and the others... Buuuut, I'm happy the relationship between Aldrik and Vhalla is developing! I'm so happy I have more books to read in this series, because that ending was CRUEL.

3.5 stars I really like the the concept of this book, it had more of a plot then the first book. But I still found myself a little out of sync with the writing and just the tone. The romance is so much more prevalent in this book and a bit more tension which is one of the main reasons I really enjoyed it and will keep reading. Just like in the previous book the last few chapter of the book were my favorite. I will continue on with the series because that ending really had me throwing my kindle lol But I think I will give myself some time since I read the first two books so quickly and close to each other. I still don't know if I would recommend the series to everyone, if you like more romance fantasy or are just getting into fantasy and don't care for pacing or world building this would work for you. Again the writing reminds me a lot of an elevated Wattpad story which to me is not a bad thing.

THE CLIFFHANGER I was unsure If I was going to like Fire Falling since I didn't love the first book (It was okay, but not amazing) This sequel blew me out of the park. I listened to most of it on audible and firstly, I love the narrator. Secondly, I was so shocked with the twists and turns coming at every moment. As well as the ending. I laughed and cried. I sobbed my eyes out and I had my jaw hanging open. I highly recommend this after reading the first one.

I looooooove this series.

No no no no no!!! I need the other book right now! Okay I must confess I was rolling my eyes to the majority of the book, just because Vhalla lost her personality... I can’t think straight at the moment. 😂 I need time

ok why does no one talk about this series??? i absolutely love this world that Elise Kova has built. I adore Yhalla and Aldrick even tho i keep wanting to read his name as Alarick idk why BUT i love this series. this was a great sequel. had stuff i couldn't predict and that slow burn is so so good. a bit of a he loves me, he loves me not that is so up and down to the point where i can't even tell if he actually likes her or not lmao. similar to the first one, the writing isn't great but the characters and plot make up for it. every time i feel like there is a lull in it Kova comes out of no where and has my eyes glued to every line. this one ended on a HUGE cliffhanger so i can't wait to read the third one!!!!!

“Consider me your sword.” “Consider me your wind.” this series is already top 3 best series I’ve ever read.

I. AM. NOT. HAPPY. IT IS TWO IN THE MORNING AND I AM FUCKING BROKEN DO NOT TOUCH ME DO N O T # of times i died from all the fluff: 16 # of times i teared up (aka the dam filling): 16 # of times i went >:O : 13 # of times i completely lost my shit and cried (aka the dam breaking): 10

SO GOOD. SO AMAZING.

Ahhhhhhh I think this may be one of my new favourite series I am literally addicted to these books right now. We have a likeable female lead who is getting stronger each book, a slow burn romance & honestly the best side characters I can’t wait to continue the series
