This book reminded me of Fifty Shades Of Grey. If you don't know by now you should know that I am NOT a fan of FSOG. I hated the books. I truly did. I really don't want to compare this book to that one but, here we are. Braden Black reminds me so much of Christian Grey and I HATED Christian. So I really hope for the sake of the rest of these books we see some change in our hero. Braden Black is, I am sorry to say this but, he’s a complete douche. He is a cocky jerk and will take everything from you if you give him but a sliver of something he is after. I hope I grow to love his character more in the next two books. Hopefully, we will see LOTS of growth with him. On the other hand, we have the lovely Skye Manning. Skye is a humble, beautiful woman looking to make it big with photography. She’s somewhat naïve when it comes to Braden, but a smart cookie otherwise. They are both interesting and I can't wait to learn more about them. There wasn't much of a focus on their romance between the two, but more on their sexual encounters. I didn't mind that at all and I can't wait to see where these two end up. This book was such a great read. It kept me on my toes and was much different than I thought it was going to be at first. This book was filled with secrets and it keeps you guessing until the end. If you are looking for something dark, steamy, with an asshole alpha and the sweetest heroine you will ever meet, this is a great book to pick up. Overall, this book was really good, though Braden is the reason why I gave it 4 stars...This was a great opening to learning about these charters and I am so excited to see where Helen takes us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rating: 5 Stars ★★★★★ HI BOOKLOVERS, I was stunned. I was drawn to the books when I first saw it at the bookstore. I know a lot of booktuber or bookstagram talk about this book but it never moved me to read it, since I never heard of the Author too, so sue me. And, when I read it I was like I have to have this. I want this. And I was literally in awe, at first I didn't understand why this and that but the more I read the more I want to know the more I'm curious. And how can Helen left us hanging until the third book. And what made me mad is why did Skye let Branden treat her that way. The Hero is so dark I don't even understand why the suspend is killing me. Not going to spoiled this but please read it. Highly Recommended! :) xoxo. Kath!

Such a good read!!! Reminds me a bit of 50 shades and sometimes the spice was a bit repetitive... but I loved the storyline. I have a few choice words for Addie. But I love Skye and Braden and really hope the next book can keep the momentum this one did!

Wowowowowowowow “I can’t let go. I can’t. I’m not bound, but I can’t. I’m bound by Braden’s will, Braden’s strength. I don’t know what to think, but I know something in me... something in me likes it. Something in me wants more.” Skye Manning is in control. She’s living her “almost” best life. She’s got a great job, doing something she loves (sorta) and is happy. Everything has its perfect place, and she has complete dominance in the cadence that is her life. Braden Black. Mysterious and elusive as his last name. He’s an enigma. A self made man. Someone, that on the surface is well put together and holds authority to those he has in his ice blue stare. “Follow Me Darkly”, by Helen Hardt is book one in her three part series. It brings together a cryptic billionaire and a taskmaster PA in a chance encounter. It takes someone who always gets what he wants, and has him facing off with his match. Their connection is magnetic right from the start and it lights the pages on fire. This erotic romance is full of steam and chemistry that had me binging this in one sitting. Now the question is - do Braden and Skye have what it takes to make it? Can Braden, that has so many secrets buried deep, relinquish them for the sake of Skye? And is Skye ready for them to be brought to light? Is she ready to give up that control to him and submit?
