Follow Me Under
Reviews

I had pretty high hopes going into this book. I was excited to see where the story was going to go, but this one sort of flopped for me. I still don't like Braden and Skye is really starting to piss me off, for the lack of better words. But she is. I thought they might grow on me more with the second book but that's not the case. I was hoping for more progression with their relationship, but it felt stagnant and like we were running around in circles. Braden is very adamant about keeping secrets from Skye but expects her to trust him. One of the pillars of a BDSM relationship is communication, but there is zero communication between the two and so many secrets. Especially since they keep having the same fight over and over again. I had a tough time connecting with the both of them in this book and was just hoping for more. I didn't hate this book, by any means. I enjoyed reading it. A lot. I thought it was easy to read and follow along, it was easy to get caught up into what was going on but I’m just not sold on our two main characters, yet. I hope they somehow redeem themselves for me in the final book. I am excited to read book three and see how everything wraps up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Rating: 4 Stars ★★★★ HI BOOKLOVERS, Okay so let me get this straight, on the second book I didn't get the answer that I want and I started to feel angry again. I thought I was going to get the answer that I want what made Branden that way but clearly I'm not haihhh *sigh. But I enjoy reading this. It brings me a complicated feeling. I'm not sure how to feel about the character yet since in the first I don't really like the Heroin but I'm don't want to give up my conclusion just yet not at least until the third book but overall is okay. Still amazing. Highly Recommended! :) xoxo. Kath!

“Are you ready, Skye?” “For.... all of this?” “To follow me under. To the darkest side of my fantasies.” I swallow, my heart stampeding. “Yes Braden, I’m ready.” Braden has always been straightforward in his actions and desires from the moment he and Skye first met. He’s meticulous, driven and craves control. But within that control lies something dormant - that isn’t truly opened up until he’s in another city; where he can stay under the radar and nameless. Skye went all in with Braden. But with that, did she lose herself in the process? She followed his requests, gave up her control and within all that discovered more about herself, her desires and needs and who she was willing to be. “Follow Me Under,” by Helen Hardt is book two of three in this series and cannot be read as a standalone. It picks up where book one finished, and continues the whirlwind love between Skye and Braden. Their chemistry is hot, and the steam leaves nothing to the imagination. It leaves Skye in a perpetual place of longing, and with more secrets bring unraveled about who Braden truly is, and the history behind him - is making me more and more anxious by the minute. I’m so ready for book three and I’m on pins and needles to finish this amazing series!
