This was sooo cute like sometimes you really do need a silly high school romance to make things feel okay. Not only were Claudia and Gideon adorable, but the relationships outside of them were soo well developed. Iris is very dear to me and I just loved this whole thing. I don't have a definitive reason for not giving it 5 stars because I really enjoyed it, but it felt like it was missing something idk. Really awesome stuff tho

I’m so torn on how to review this book.
Let’s start with the plus sides.
1. Easy read 
2. Quick read
3. Pretty light feeling

Can you say ramble?
I’m sorry but I could care less about the game and get it was talked about soooo much! I understood it brought the family together but it didn’t add a whole lot to the story, if anything it took away from it at times.
This is one of those reads where it wasn’t bad but I constantly felt like cringing for the awkward feelings going on. I just kept feeling like the main character was kinda a jerk, she didn’t mean to be but she kinda was and it was hard to watch, then again she was supposed to be a little shy so I guess that explains that.
All in all it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t something I would suggest as a must read. It would be good if you were having a lazy day and wanted a quick light read.

I just freaking love this cute, funny, fluffy and sweet contemporary so so so much. More than I thought I would, actually. I thought I'm done with contemporary for a while because I'm so much in the mood for fantasy for the past few days, but I'm glad I did loved this.

I admire all the relationship in this story so much. Alex and Zoe. Iris and Paige. And mostly Claudia and our goofy Gideon. I just loved how they make me so happy and contented reading their story. I never had a contemporary read like this before, to be honest. I mean a very light yet still managed to make me feel so happy and contented, with all the ridiculously wide smile on my face the whole time. I loved being crazy about this. I hope I can find and read something that will make me feel this exact same feelings again in my next read. It reminded me so much of my innocent teenage days. 

PS. I FREAKING WANT A GIDEON PREWITT FOR MYSELF, PLEASEEEE!!!

me reading this right after jellicoe road is such a set up for this book and myself. i like foolish heart though it was a very easy and light read, finished it in a day and all. so erm 3.75/5 maybe? claudiagideon's a 5/5 though

4 stars | Well-rounded story with lgbtq+ and poc side characters. It was my first Emma Mills' book (thanks, Owlcrate!) and to be honest, I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did, mostly because I don't really like Shakespeare, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Claudia, the main character, is awesome and she reminded me of me a lot. She's sweet and dorky and extremely awkward at times (like when she brings a plus one to a date), but my favourite character has to be Iris. I completely fell in love with this little grumpy cinnamon roll ^.^

I have to mention my utter delight when Iris said: "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed you were straight." A++

MY FRIGGIN GOD DI I JUST FINISH THIS ONE OVERNIGHT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE EXAMS COMING UP IN 2 DAYS??

It was so goooood! Left me smiling like an idiot through and through(tearing up here and there). It's so cute and funny and touching. I love everything about this book. I really do. It reminds me of what's it like to be young and free with easy smiles and cool, forgiving, naive nature. Damn, I haven't felt like this in years.

the cutest. i loved claudiagideon + all the friendships in this book were so so good omg (iris ily), one of the few books about high school teenagers that didn’t even make me cringe once loved this sm <3

im gonna write something more coherent later but for now: this book is so nice. Like so emphatically nice. I can't think about this book without smiling.
