           Although this was an enjoyable read I didn't like it as much as the two previous instalments in the series. This story focuses more on two of Charley's cases and less on the expected demon invasion (which, when it comes, isn't very impressive). It almost feels like the story is stuck and there is almost no development on the overall series plot. If it is meant to be because of Charley's PTSD then it makes sense, if not it's a shame.

What I did like in this instalment is the main characters' development. They seemed to be getting nowhere in the previous books but they evolve quite a bit here and get more depth, which is a really nice touch.

All in all this was an enjoyable read but just not as exciting as the rest of the series.

I love the Charley Davidson series! They are so easy to read and even though dangerous and deadly things happen to Charley, she always keeps her sense of humor. The books make me laugh out loud all the time. Plus, Darynda Jones makes her secondary characters equally as interesting and entertaining as Charley. I highly recommend these to anyone who just wants something fun to read, with a little bit of that paranormal romance thrown in. ;-)
