Kellen has a gift. He can unravel curses which is a handy thing to have in Radith where fantastical creatures reside and one wrong move, one wrong annoyance could have you cursed (literally).

Frances Hardinge has weaved another magical book that is just so much fun... It's crazy. How does she manage to write children so well?? 

As always, i find that Ms. Hardinge always incorporates a lot of wonderful themes in her books.
📌 the theme of friendship and it's many layers in this book, 
📌Family and all its aches
📌Sticking around for the hard things... If you run away too often or shut your mouth against your anger too often, it really only hurts you.

I really really liked this one, and Hardinge continues to show that Fantasy with young protagonists in it, is so much fun.
