This may very well be a masterpiece. Through an entertaining, gripping and beautiful storyline I always wanted to read just one more chapter. Francine Rivers made the 1st century Roman Empire come alive. Although there may be a couple anachronisms (I don't think 1st century Christians were using the evangelical language of "ask Jesus into your heart") the characters are lifelike and as I said...masterful. Highly reccomended.

This book is so very beautifully written, and brought many a tear to my eye in certain places.
