I've always enjoyed this story and the unique Gilbreth family. I just read it to my children and they really were too young for it; there were a lot of idioms and cultural things I had to stop and explain, racism I had to address, and swear words and romance content that I skipped over. Still, they enjoyed it and laughed a lot. It has a unique structure, kind of arranged by subject and kind of chronologically and I think I would have enjoyed a chronological one better instead of skipping around. I dislike the movies because they fail to capture the character of Mr and Mrs Gilbreth or speak to how revolutionary they were in their time as engineers and pioneers of motion study.
