This book reminded me of my freshman year in college. The worries of fitting in, finding your group of friends, and trying to understand what the professor is talking about are all very real things that any new college student will face. Cassandra, however, is putting even more pressure on herself with pledging a frat house. 

I have to say that I was worried about going into this book about how the guys in the frat house would be portrayed. As a female with mostly guy friends who were in every frat on campus, I do have a preconceived notion of who they are. 

While this book aims to be a feminist read, I think it more than anything, ends up being about brotherhood and friendship. Cassie has a first-row seat on how seriously these boys take their oath as brothers and to protect each other. Cassie also has a unique opportunity to teach these frat brothers about the anatomy of women and how to be protective of women without being misogynistic. 

Overall, I loved this book and the men Cassie describes in the house reminded me of my friends I made in college that are "frat bros."
