Watergate The Corruption and Fall of Richard Nixon

On the 9th August 1974, Richard Nixon resigned from the Presidency of the United States, the only President ever to have done so. Had he not, he faced impeachment. It was the climax of a series of events - political dirty tricks, bugging, burglaries - which the White House not only sponsored but tried, vainly, to cover up, events known collectively as Watergate.
