Just no. I was uncomfortable during the whole book, every part of her recovery gave me chills. The plot twist was not really plot twisting

Okay, I actually really enjoyed this one. I had a better idea of what was going on in this one. There was an bigger aspect to romance in this one that isn’t in a lot of Freida’s other books and completely understand why if someone read this thinking it would only be a mystery/thriller book wouldn’t like it as much. The situation of Charly’s injury reminded me a lot of the Brittani Marcell case  and her head injury that happened in 2008 and how she was later able to help identify her attacker.  I am in no way saying these are the same just saying what it reminded me of as I was reading. The cases are very different but there was a highlight of the cognitive damage that happened in both. It was very interesting and if I had to say what would be the most interesting thing to me would be the human brain but I’m more interest in the psychological part of it and find what Charley went through to be very interesting. The romance aspect I actually also enjoyed and it felt nice to see what the main character went through have her life come together after everything she had gone through. It’s a book I would recommend as long as you know what you are getting into with this one.

I couldn’t put it down! There was romance, suspense, drama and even a little humor thrown into the mix. Great character development and quality research was put into this. How else would one be able to pull off writing from the perspective of a brain damaged patient? 

I felt for Charly in all her insecurities. Always doubting herself and questioning whether or not any compliment is truly genuine. So relatable. But girl, if you can’t trust your own gut instincts you should definitely trust your cat’s! 

Jamie is easily my favorite character in this story. He’s funny, stubborn, masculine, charming and completely honest in a way that hardly anyone ever is. 

As for Clark, we won’t talk about that fool.
